Karel Viaene, PhD

Karel Viaene graduated as Master in Biology at Ghent University in 2010. He successfully finished the advanced Master in Environmental Management and Sanitation program in 2011.

During the next five years, he obtained his PhD at the Laboratory of Environmental Ecology and Ecotoxicology on developing population models (IBMs) to assess the effects of chemicals.

At ARCHE Consulting, his modelling expertise is applied to various projects that strive to increase the use of population models in ecological risk assessments. Additionally, he is involved in the preparation of REACH, BPR, and PPP dossiers.
