You will also explore the principles of hazard and risk assessment, along with exposure evaluation and risk characterisation of chemicals in relation to human health.

As safety requirements for chemicals, biocides, pesticides, cosmetics, and other products continue to grow, there is an increasing demand for toxicology expertise and the application of safety testing methods.

This cross-sector training course offers a comprehensive introduction to key concepts in toxicology, including toxicokinetics, toxicodynamics, toxicological testing and thresholds. You will gain valuable insights into the principles of hazard and risk assessment, along with exposure evaluation and risk characterisation of chemicals in relation to human health. You will also learn about the regulatory framework and relevant legislation.

Designed as an introductory course, no prior knowledge of toxicology is required. However, a basic understanding of chemistry and/or biology is recommended for participants.
