REACH Regulation

The European REACH Regulation (EC No 1907/2006) governs the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation, and Restriction of Chemicals. In force since June 1st, 2007, REACH aims to protect human health and the environment from chemical risks, promote alternative testing methods, facilitate the free circulation of substances within the EU, and boost competitiveness and innovation in the chemical industry.

REACH places the responsibility on industry to assess and manage chemical risks and to provide appropriate safety information to users. Compliance with REACH is mandatory for companies wishing to sell chemical products within the EU. No data means no market in the EU. In addition, the EU can take additional measures for highly dangerous substances as needed.

We specialise in high-quality risk assessments and support companies with REACH registration and updates for both organic and inorganic substances, including complex substances such as UVCBs. We provide comprehensive chemical safety reports (CSR) and exposure scenarios (ES) to demonstrate adequate control or acceptable risk. Built on years of experience from the REACH Registration phase, ARCHE Consulting brings deep expertise in REACH Authorisation and Restriction processes.

We have experience with different Applications for Authorisation (AfA) and provide expert opinions on Restriction dossiers proposed by various EU Member States. For Socio-Economic Analysis (SEA) and Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) we have established a partnership with RPA and REACHLaw.

Beyond dossier preparation, ARCHE Consulting's experts are actively involved in developing REACH guidance, including a metals-specific guidance document (MERAG), developing new REACH tools to facilitate implementation (such as the DU Scaling tool), intelligent testing strategy tools, a Threshold Calculator for metals in soil, specific environmental release categories (SPERCs), and testing beta versions of IUCLID 6 and CHESAR 3 for the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA).

CLP Regulation

The CLP Regulation (EC No 1272/2008) aligns EU rules for Classification, Labeling and Packaging of substances and mixtures with the Globally Harmonized System (GHS).

ARCHE Consulting’s experts in environmental fate, ecotoxicology, toxicology, and exposure help you navigate REACH and CLP requirements and ensure your products meet EU market standards.
