Following ongoing interest and positive engagement from industry, ARCHE Consortia continues and expands its work in Product Types 11 and 12 (PT11-12)* under the Biocidal Products Regulation (BPR).
We are currently facilitating three PT11-12 pre-consortia for the following active substances:
- Active chlorine released from sodium hypochlorite - PT11 & PT12 (pre-consortium ongoing - still open for new members)
- Active chlorine generated from sodium chloride by electrolysis - PT11 (pre-consortium formation in progress)
- Active chlorine released from chlorine - PT11 (pre-consortium formation planned)
Why join a PT11-12 (pre-)consortium?
Joining a pre-consortium offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with other companies in a cost-efficient, structured, and scientifically sound way. It is the first step to assess the feasibility and structure of a full consortium and allows all participants to have significant input into how the project is shaped.
Thanks to ARCHE Consortia’s extensive experience in preparing BPR dossiers - for both individual products and Biocidal Product Families (BPFs) - we have developed a tailored, modular strategy for PT11-12 consortia.
This approach:
- Increases the chances of successful product or BPF authorisation
- Reduces overall costs during dossier development and evaluation
- Ensures flexibility to accommodate different product-specific needs
Companies that express interest will be invited to a webinar, where more detailed information will be shared about the active substances, timelines, costs, and consortium structure. Afterwards, participants may choose to join the non-binding pre-consortium phase.
Our next webinar on PT11-12 BPR pre-consortia for active chlorine based products is planned for November 18 at 14:00 CET.
If your company is working with PT11-12 products and is interested in any of the above substances - or others not yet listed - we encourage you to get in touch!
* PT11 (Product Type 11) covers preservatives for liquid-cooling and processing systems, while PT12 (Product Type 12) covers slimicides which are used to prevent slime formation caused by microorganisms.
