Chemical risk assessment and SSbD support in Horizon Europe 2026 proposals

A new draft of the Horizon Europe 2026 and 2027 work programmes was recently published by the European Commission. Sustainability is a core focus across many topics, with several directly linked to Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), the development of materials according to the Sustainable and Safe by Design (SSbD) framework, chemical safety, and regulatory compliance. ARCHE Consulting, together with our partner Ecomatters has extensive expertise in these areas and can provide support with meeting the requirements outlined in the Horizon 2026 and 2027 working programmes.

Integrating sustainability aspects into your proposed project, strengthens its alignment with the EU’s climate and sustainability goals and reinforces its overall credibility.

Alignment between Horizon Europe 2026 topics and our expertise

The overview below highlights key topics where ARCHE Consulting’s sustainability expertise can add value to project proposals. We are eager to collaborate with consortia being established around these themes.

By applying the iterative Safe and Sustainable by Design (SSbD) framework, we support material design and selection, enable early hazard identification, and assess human health and safety during production. We also evaluate exposure throughout the use phase. In parallel, Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) can be used to quantify environmental impacts across the entire life cycle or applied independently to deliver a focused sustainability evaluation.
